your passion, your livelihood, your craft

taking care of your body protects everything you care for.

Whether you have a large farm or work in other skilled labor where you need to work with your hands and body everyday, physical medicine is not a waste of time; it is a safeguard to all that you work for. Studies have shown that regular chiropractic care decreases days missed at work due to injury. By scheduling regular visits, we are more likely to catch pains when they are small and new as opposed to waiting to come in when you can't walk or when the pain is so bad you can't work. If you have a profession that requires your body to be functioning well, preventative physical healthcare is for you.
Because you're passionate about your work I know you perform regular maintenance on your chainsaw, car, sewing machine, or tractor. But do you ignore the signs that your body is working too hard? When you start to be able to make a list of symptoms that happen week to week, it's a good sign that your body is working too hard and starting to need some care to keep it running smooth, just like any other tool. Only you body is the one tool you cannot do without.

common insults to your body and nervous system

Commonly with workers and laborers our struggles to overcoming pain are repetitive movements that must be performed at work. Sedentary periods between bursts of work (a long drive and short unload then another drive) can increase injury, and issues due to either standing or sitting for very long periods of time. While I cannot change the workload of your job, I can help you modify movements , help you strengthen or stretch areas not getting used as much, as well as continue to keep movement in all parts of the spine to prevent back pain from beginning.
Once your pain is back under control my job is to keep you in YOUR job. This can come to some hard talks about how our body ages and the NECESSARY strengthening and stretching that comes with it. Getting older does not mean you have to stop doing your job or the things that you love, it does mean you need to help your body out more than you're used too. But never fear. I'm here to help.
